I know I have had cab francs before – the low price allure of Loire reds drew my attention years ago, though I typically stuck more to Grenache from Spain and Italian Barberas in my hunt for bargain wines. It wasn’t until last year when I had one where I was paying attention and while the wine itself wasn’t all that good, it was interesting enough to make we want to look for more.
